Music has the power to inspire, move and uplift people from all walks of life, and for Bulgarian pianist and pedagogue Prof. Ventsislav Yankov, it has been a source of joy and fulfillment throughout his life.

To honor Prof. Yankov's legacy and promote the future of classical music in Bulgaria, the Ventsislav Yankov Foundation has organized its first competition for young pianists, and First Estates is proud to be one of the sponsors.

First Estates recognizes the crucial role that culture and the arts play in society and the development of the country.

"We believe that culture and the love for it have a decisive role on society and the development of the country. It is an honor and a pleasure for us to support the Ventsislav Yankov Foundation in its mission to nurture young talents in the field of classical music." said Pascal Duffy, Founder and CEO of First Estates."

The competition, which is being held in two stages, invites young pianists between the ages of 13 and 20 to submit a video recording of their performance, with finalists from two age categories being selected to perform at the final concert. The concert will take place on May 16th at the Concert Hall of the Central Military Club, where the winners will be announced. The competition's jury includes renowned musicians and professors in the field of classical music, Claire Desert, Francois Chaplin, and Lyudmil Angelov.

Under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, the French Embassy in Bulgaria, and the French Institute in Bulgaria, the competition is a celebration of classical music and a testament to the power of collaboration and support from the community. With the support of sponsors like First Estates, the competition is providing a platform for young pianists to showcase their talents, inspiring and encouraging the next generation of musicians.
